Nicka provided a deeper insight into records research that will allow me to "drill down" more deeply into a more targeted approach to research that has stymied me for years! Way to go, Nicka!!

Niki was so informative, she gave me research info I never thought about. I was fortunate enough to buy my home in the very neighborhood my grandparents were born and raised in, but I could only go so far back when checking with the local Genealogy Society. I'm a member of My Heritage so I'll be checking the different catalogs she mentioned including the Freedmen's Bureau.

I now fully understand how "surface-level" my research has been. Yes, Nicka was ruined my weekend (by encouraging me to go deeper).
